Fascinating
Victoria Row, the former market centre of Charlottetown, is home to a wide variety of shopping and dining needs.

Founders' Hall

Canada's Birthplace Pavilion

Founders' Hall
Founders' Hall

In 1864, delegates to the famous Charlottetown Conference arrived at this quaint waterfront. Today, it's the site of Founders' Hall, a 21,000 square foot heritage attraction and retail boutique.

The "Time Travel Tunnel" transports visitors back to 1864, leading them through the pages of Canadian history, and concludes with a fast paced look at Canadians from coast to coast to coast.

This is where hi-tech meets history. Experience Canada's growing pains through the eyes of modern media. News reports and lively theatre tell the tale of politics and people. Special headsets narrate your passage through state-of the-art displays, holovisuals, theatres, on-screen trivia games, drawers, cupboards and much more. It's a multisensory experience that makes learning history fun and lively!

Your visit to Charlottetown starts here! The Tourism Charlottetown Visitor Centre is your one stop destination planning centre. Wondering where to go or what to do? Ask our friendly and knowledgeable travel counselors to assist with finding the perfect accommodations or dinner reservation. Prince Edward Tours offers the convenience of booking theatre, golf, sightseeing, activities and more. Book your vacation from one location. Plus theres live PEI entertainment, a caf with outdoor patio, courtesy phones, complimentary internet and public washrooms.

Also, be sure to visit the Prince Edward Island Mercantile. Located inside Founders' Hall, this boutique features unique Prince Edward Island giftware including Anne of Green Gables books, scenic island prints, jewelry, handmade island crafts, souvenirs and Charlottetown apparel.
